? . ? <br />? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 68- I3y PAGE 2 <br />A: Full time employees of the Fire Department having completed five <br />years of full time continuous service as employees of said department shall be <br />paid an additional 3% of their base annual salary thereafter until completion of the <br />tenth year of continuous full time service, after which such employees shall <br />receive 4% of their base annual salary, thereafter until the completion of the 15th <br />year of continuous full time service, and thereafter 5% of their base annual <br />salary until after the completion of the 20th year of continuous full time service <br />andduring each year of full time service thereafter they shall receive 6% of their <br />base annual salary as longevity increments. <br />B: In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments <br />of longe'vity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part- <br />time services, but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing longevity <br />increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprj.ve any employee <br />of any other benefits which may be due them for part.-time service as employees <br />in the Safety Department. <br />C: In addition to the regular base salary plus increment and other wage <br />increases, all regular employees of the Fire Department, including officers shall <br />on their original appointment and during the first calendar year during their <br />appointment, receive $300.00 clothing allowance and shall, during each calendar <br />year thereafter, receive a clothing allowance of $150.00 to be determined and <br />disbursed by and with the approval of the Fire Chief of the Department. <br />D: For each full time member of the Fire Department, the City of <br />North Olmsted, shall pay an amount equal to a single person's rate per month <br />towards the cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization and Medical Mutual premiums <br />of said members of the Fire Department, as established by Contract 52YS <br />effective the 22nd day of May, 1965. <br />Section 3: That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts of ordinances <br />or parts of resolutionsinconsistent herewith to the provisions of this ordinance and <br />especially Ordinance No. 68-41 are hereby repealed with the effective date of <br />this Ordinance. <br />Section 4: That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to <br />mail a copy of this Ordinance to the Finance Department and Fire Chief. <br />Section 5: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the City <br />of North Olrssted by virtue of the immediate necessity of maintaining and increas- <br />ing the moral and effectiveness of inembers of the Safety Department.
