<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N'O. 68- PAGE 2 <br />Full time Police Officers working <br />for the City of North Olmsted <br />during off duty hours $ 3. 00 per hour <br />Secretary $ 4, 000. 00 to 4, 800. 00 per year <br />which salaries shall be payable by theDirector of Finance semi-monthly. <br />A: Any of the above, with the exception of the school guards and <br />auxiliary police, shall while on duty as plain clothes detectives , be paid <br />additional compensation at the rate of $300. 00 annually for all time spent as <br />plain clothes detectives. <br />B: Full time employees of the Police Department having completed five <br />years of full time continuous service as employees of said department shall be paid <br />an additional 3% of their base annual salary, thereafter until completion of the tenth <br />year of continuous full time service, after which such employees shall receive 4% <br />of their base annual salary, thereaft?r until the completion of the 15th year of <br />continuous full time service, and thereafter 5% of their base annual salary until <br />after the completion of the 20th year of continuous full time service , and during <br />each year of full time service thereafter-they shall receive 6% of their base annual <br />salary as longevity increments . <br />C: In computing length of service fortlie purpose of making payments of <br />longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part-time <br />serviees, but such limitation is only forthe purpose of computing longevity incre- <br />ments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employee of <br />any other benefits which may be due them for part-time service as employees in <br />the Sa£ety Department. <br />D: In addition to the regular base salary plus increments and other wage <br />increases, all regularanployees of the Police Department , including officers shall <br />on their original appointment and during the first calendar year during their appoint- <br />ment, receive $300. 00 clothing allowance and shall during each calendar year, <br />thereafter , receive a clothing allowance of $150.00 to be determined and disbursed <br />by and with the approval of the Police Chief of the Department. <br />E: For each full time member of the Palice Department ( excluding <br />Auxiliary Police and School Guards ) the City of North Olmsted shall pay an amount <br />equal to a single person's rate per month towards the cost of Blue Cross Hospital- <br />ization and Medical Mutual premiums of said members of the Police Force, as <br />established by Contract 52YS effective the 22nd of May,1965. <br />Section 3: That employees of the Police Department of the City of North <br />Olmsted be reimbursed not to exceed $3.00 per day for per diem expenses while <br />in attendance at the Police training school established by the Cuyahoga County <br />Commissioners at Western Reserve University, which school is for a two week <br />period with 10 days class attendance. <br />Section 4: That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts of ordinances <br />or parts of resolutions inconsistent herewith to the provisions of this ordinance and <br />especially Ordinance No. 68-60, are hereby repealed with the effective date of <br />this ordinance. <br />Section 5:That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to <br />mail a copy of this Ordinance to the Finance Department and the Chief of Police.
