CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 68- Jm{D BY AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE NORTH OLMSTED CODIFIED ORDINANCES BY AMENDING SECTION 529.06, " ENTITLED " ENTICING AWAY A CHILD UNDER SIXTEEN ( 16 ) YEARS OF AGE AND DE- CLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, a typographical error has resulted in the wrong Ohio Revised Code Section being stated herein,and WHEREAS, Council wishes to correct this typographical error. NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: Section 1. That the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted be amended by amending Section 529.06 presently reading as follows: 529.06 Enticinct awav a child under Sixteen Years. No person over the age of eighteen years shall detain, lead, take, carry or entice away a child under the age of sixteen years, with intent to commit any offense under Ohio R. C. 2903.11 or Ohio R. C. Chapter 2905. ( ORC 2903.12 ) be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 529.06 Enticinq awav a child under Sixteen Years. No person over the age of eighteen years shall detain, lead, take, carry or entice away a child under the age of sixteen years, with intent -to commit any offense under Ohio R. C. 2903 . 01 or Ohio R. C. Chapter 2965. ( ORC 2903.12 ) Section 2: That this Ordinance is determined to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare by virtue of the fact that the immediate legislation is needed with respect to enticing away a child under sixteen years of age. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be fn force from and after its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by Law .
