THE CITY OF NORTfi OLMSTED <br />Resolution No. 68- f 0.3 <br />BY : <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILZNG OF AN APPLTCATION <br />FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE UNDER THE FEDERAL LAND AND <br />WATER CONSERVATION FUND ACT OF 1964 FOR OUTDOOR <br />RECREATION PURPOSES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Land and Water Conservation Fund <br />Act of 1964 (Public Law 88-578) provides financial assistance <br />to the State of Ohio and its political subdivisions for outdoor <br />recreation purposes, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted desires financial <br />assistance under the Land and Water Conservation Fund program, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of North Olmsted as follows: <br />Section l. That the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted hereby approves the filing of an application for <br />Land and Water Conservation Fund assistance. <br />Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted <br />is hereby authorized and directed to execute and file DNR 90 or <br />DNR 91, Project Proposal -- Acquisition or Development, with the <br />Department of Natural Resources, State of Ohio, and provide the <br />information and documentation required in said application for <br />ultimate submission to the Federal Bureau of Outdoor Recreation. <br />Section 3. That the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted does hereby agree to obligate the funds or services <br />required to satisfactorily complete the proposed project and <br />thus become eligible for Land and Water Conservation Fund Act <br />financial aid of 5r0 % of the estimated or actual allowable <br />cost, whichever is less, at the completion of said project. <br />Section 4. That this Resolution is hereby declared <br />to be an emergency resolution by virtue of the fact that addi- <br />tional recreation is urgently needed for the public health, <br />safety and welfare, WHEREFORE, this resolution shall take effect <br />upon its passage, otherwise at the earliest time permitted by law. <br />PASSED• ?d <br />ATTES . <br />Florence Holm, Clerk of Council <br />.APPROVED : 4110014S <br />Ralph .
