_ ;- CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 68- ?, PAGE 4 Section 7: All full time employees of the Public Works Division, the Service Department, Vehicle Maintenance Department, Building Maintenance Department and Sanitary Sewer System, except the Public Works Commissioner, the Superintendant of Parks and Secretary to the Public Works Commissioner, having completed five (5) years of full time continuous service as employees in said department shall be paid an additonal 2% of their base annual salary,there- after until completion of 10 years of full time service, after which such employees shall receive 3% of their base annual salary thereafter until completion of their 15th year of continuous full time service, after which said employee shall receive 4% of their base annual salary until completion of their 20th year of continuous full time service and thereafter each year of full time service thereafter they shall receive 5% of their base annual salary as longevity increments. Section 8: For the Plant Maintenance Mechanic in the Sanitary Sewer System and for each hourly paid employee of the Service Department, Vehicle Maintenance Department, Building Maintenance Department and Sanitary Sewer System, the City of North Olmsted shall pay an amount equal to a single person's rate per month towards the cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization and Medical Mutual premiums of said members of the Service Department, Vehicle Maintenance Department, Building Maintenance Department and Sanitary Sewer System, as established by Contract 52YS effective the 22nd day of May, 1965. Section 9: That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts of ordinances or parts of resolutions, inconsistent herewith to the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed wtth the effective date of this ordinance. Section 10: That the Clerk of Council is hereby instructed to forward a copy of the Ordinance to the Public Works Commissioner and the Finance Director in order that the Finance Director can pay the compensation as herein- above set forth. Section 11: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the City by virtue of the fact of the immediate necessity of adjusting compensation for city employees so as to make such compensation commensurate with the requirements of the various jobs. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law.
