P <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 68-3 PAGE 5 <br />xviii. Sewage, or other waste from a plumbing <br />system, which may be deleterious to surface or sub- <br />surface waters shall not be discharged into the ground <br />or into any waterway unless it has first been rendered <br />innocuous through subjection to some acceptable form <br />of treatment. <br />xix. The plumbing system shall be subjected to <br />such tests as will effectively disclose all leaks and <br />defects in the work. <br />xx. All storm drainage shall be aonnected into a <br />storm sewer and not into a sanitary sewer. <br />iKxi. All inside underground water piping on any <br />construction shall be covered with at least 6" of sand. <br />xxii. All garden and condominum type 2-story <br />apartments shall have a main water shut-off in each <br />suite, stop and waste valves to control hot and cold <br />water to bathroom, stop and waste valves under <br />kitchen sink and stop and waste to control sill cocks. <br />xxiii. Apartment over 2-stories high shall have a <br />main valve inside building wall, valves on all risers <br />and control valves for each bathroom either in access <br />panel at tub or in wall with access panel and under <br />igach kitchen sink. <br />Section 2: That this ordinances is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, <br />health, safety and welfare by vi'rtue of the fact that additiona 1 standards are <br />necessary for plumbing in the Regional Building Code for the safety of the citizens <br />of the City of North Olmsted.
