CIT'y OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 68-9 PAGE 2 Section 2. That the base salaries of the members of the Police Department are hereby fixed and determined to be as follows: Chief of Police Lieutenant of Police Sergeants Patrolmen for First Year Patrolmen for Second Year Patrolmen after Second Year School Guards Auxiliary Police Full time Police Officers working ? for the City of North Olmsted diring off duty hours S ecretary $10, 700. 00 Annually $ 9,095.00 Annually $ 8,560.00 Annually $ 6,600.00 Annually $ 7,100.00 Annually $ 8,050.00 Annually $ 1, 75 per hour $ 2. 00 per hour $ 3.00 per hour $4,000.00 to $4,800.00 peryear which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance semi-monthly. A. Any of the above, with the exception of school quards and auxiliary police, shall, while on duty as plain clothes detectives, be paid additional compensation at the rate of $300.00 annually for all time spent as plain clothes detectives. B. Full time employes of the Police Department having completed five years of full time continuous service as employees of said department shall be paid an additional 3% of their base annual salary, thereafter until completion of the tenth year of continuous full time service, after which such employees shall receive 4% of the base annual salary, thereafter until the completion of the 15th year of continuous full time service, and thereafter 5% of their base annual salary until after the completion of the 20th year of continuous full time service, and during each year of full time service thereafter they shall receive 6% of their base salary as longevity increments. C. In computing length of serviee for the purpose of making payments of the longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part- time services, but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing longevity increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employees of any other benefits which my be due them for part-time service as employees in the Safety Department. D. In addition to the regular base salary plus increment and other wage increases, all regular employees of the Police Department, including-officers, shall, on their original appointment and during the first calendar year during their appointment, receive $300. 00 cEdt#mg allowance and shall, during each calendar year thereafter, receive a clothing allowance of $150.00 to be determined and disbursed by and with the approval of the Police Chief of the Department. '. E. For each full time member of the Police Department ( excluding Auxiliary Police and SchDol Guards ), the City of North Olmsted shall pay an amount equal to a single person's rate per month towards the cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization and Medical Mutual premiuns of said members of the Police Force, as established by Contract 52YS effective the 22nd day of May, 1965. Section 3. That employees of the Police Department of the City of North Olmsted be reimbursed not to exceed $3.00 per day for per diem expenses while in attendance at the police training school established by the Cuyahoqa County Commissioners at Western Reserve University, which school is for a two week period with 10 days clas s attendance.
