<br />CIT'y OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 68-9 PAGE 2 <br />Section 2. That the base salaries of the members of the Police Department <br />are hereby fixed and determined to be as follows: <br />Chief of Police <br />Lieutenant of Police <br />Sergeants <br />Patrolmen for First Year <br />Patrolmen for Second Year <br />Patrolmen after Second Year <br />School Guards <br />Auxiliary Police <br />Full time Police Officers working <br />? for the City of North Olmsted <br />diring off duty hours <br />S ecretary <br />$10, 700. 00 Annually <br />$ 9,095.00 Annually <br />$ 8,560.00 Annually <br />$ 6,600.00 Annually <br />$ 7,100.00 Annually <br />$ 8,050.00 Annually <br />$ 1, 75 per hour <br />$ 2. 00 per hour <br />$ 3.00 per hour <br />$4,000.00 to $4,800.00 peryear <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance semi-monthly. <br />A. Any of the above, with the exception of school quards and auxiliary <br />police, shall, while on duty as plain clothes detectives, be paid additional <br />compensation at the rate of $300.00 annually for all time spent as plain clothes <br />detectives. <br />B. Full time employes of the Police Department having completed five <br />years of full time continuous service as employees of said department shall be <br />paid an additional 3% of their base annual salary, thereafter until completion of <br />the tenth year of continuous full time service, after which such employees shall <br />receive 4% of the base annual salary, thereafter until the completion of the 15th <br />year of continuous full time service, and thereafter 5% of their base annual <br />salary until after the completion of the 20th year of continuous full time service, <br />and during each year of full time service thereafter they shall receive 6% of their <br />base salary as longevity increments. <br />C. In computing length of serviee for the purpose of making payments of <br />the longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part- <br />time services, but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing longevity <br />increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employees <br />of any other benefits which my be due them for part-time service as employees in <br />the Safety Department. <br />D. In addition to the regular base salary plus increment and other wage <br />increases, all regular employees of the Police Department, including-officers, <br />shall, on their original appointment and during the first calendar year during their <br />appointment, receive $300. 00 cEdt#mg allowance and shall, during each calendar <br />year thereafter, receive a clothing allowance of $150.00 to be determined and <br />disbursed by and with the approval of the Police Chief of the Department. <br />'. E. For each full time member of the Police Department ( excluding <br />Auxiliary Police and SchDol Guards ), the City of North Olmsted shall pay an <br />amount equal to a single person's rate per month towards the cost of Blue Cross <br />Hospitalization and Medical Mutual premiuns of said members of the Police Force, <br />as established by Contract 52YS effective the 22nd day of May, 1965. <br />Section 3. That employees of the Police Department of the City of North <br />Olmsted be reimbursed not to exceed $3.00 per day for per diem expenses while <br />in attendance at the police training school established by the Cuyahoqa County <br />Commissioners at Western Reserve University, which school is for a two week <br />period with 10 days clas s attendance.
