CITY OF IVORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLLTTIOIV N0.69-;,2r <br />BY <br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE PUBLIC SERVICE OF <br />COUNCILMAN CARROLL EIAN, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGEIVCY. <br />WHEREAS, on December 31, 1969, Councilman Carroll Eian completes his <br />term of office, and <br />WHEREAS, Councilman Carroll Eian gave his time and judgment to the City of <br />North Olmsted, specifically to the residents of Ward I, as a Councilman since January <br />l, 1966 to December 31, 1969, a period of four ( 4) years, and served on the Appoint- <br />ments Committee, the Liquor Control Committee, the Municipal Development Committee, <br />the Public Parks, Properties and Recreation Committee, and was Chairman of the Safety, <br />Health and Welfare Committee of Council from January 1, 1966 to December 31, 1967, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Councilman Carroll Eian was re-elected to another term beginning <br />January 1, 1968 and expiring December 31, 1969, and during this term served on the <br />same committees and in the same capacity, as he previously had from january 1, 1966 <br />to December 31, 1967, and <br />WHEREAS, Councilman Carroll Eian devoted many hours to his duties as Council- <br />man, accepting his duties with enthusiasm and dedication, and brought to Council his <br />education, experience, and judgment, the consequence of which the City of IVorth <br />Olmsted and its residents benefited greatly, and <br />WHEREAS, as Chairman of the Safety, Health and Welfare Committee many <br />ordinances and resolutions were passed, which ordinances and resolutions up-dated <br />the safety forces and laws of the City of North Olmsted, thereby keeping abreast of _ <br />a rapidly growing community, and <br />WHEREAS, the members of this Council are of the opinion that the valuable <br />contributions of Carroll Eian should be recognized with sincere gratitude, by the <br />citizens of the City of North Olmsted, by the Administration, and by all the Officials <br />of the City of North Olmsted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, <br />State of Ohio: <br />Section I. That the minutes of this Council show the gratitude and appreciation <br />of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted, its Administrative Officers, and the members <br />of this Council to Carroll Eian for his years of devoted public service to the City of <br />North Olmsted . <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to send to <br />Councilman Carroll Eian a copy of this Resolution, after it has been duly executed. <br />Section 3. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, safety, health and welfare <br />of the City.
