<br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE PUBLIC SERVICE OF
<br />COUNCILMAN CLARENCE MILLER, AIVD DECLARING AN
<br />EMERGEN CY.
<br />WHEREAS, on December 31, 1969, Councilman Clarence Miller completes his
<br />term of office, and
<br />WHEREAS, Councilman Clarence Miller gave his time, judgment and knowledge
<br />to the City of North Olmsted, specifically to the residents of Ward 4, as a Councilman
<br />since January 1968 and will serve until December 31, 1969, and
<br />WHEREAS, Councilman Clarence Miller has very ably and with compassion
<br />represented the residents in Ward 4, and
<br />WHEREAS, while a member of Council of the City of North Olmsted, Council-
<br />man Clarence Miller served on, the Industrial Development Committee, the Public
<br />Service and Utilities Committee , and Transportation Committee, and also, was the
<br />Chairman of the Legislative Committee, and
<br />WHEREAS, during his term of service, as a member of the various Committees
<br />of Council, many ordinances and resolutions beneficial to the City of North Olmsted
<br />'were passed, and
<br />WHEREAS, as Chairman of the Legislative Committee, Councilman Clarence
<br />Miller was instrumental in the passage of various ordinances having a far reaching
<br />nature, and
<br />WHEREAS, the members of Council are of the opinion that the valuable con-
<br />tributions of Clarence Miller should be recognized with sincere gratitude by the
<br />citizens of the City of North Olmsted, by the Administration, and by all the Officials
<br />of the City of North Olmsted.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted,
<br />State of Ohio:
<br />Section I. That the minutes of this Council show the gratitude and appreciation
<br />of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted, its Administrative Officers, and the members
<br />of this Council to Clarence Miller for his years of devoted public service to the City of
<br />North Olmsted.
<br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to send to
<br />Councilman Clarence Miller a copy of this Resolutions, after it has been duly executed.
<br />Section 3. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure
<br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, safety, health and welfare
<br />of the City. WHEREFORE, this Resolution shall take effect and be in force immediately
<br />upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law.
