L) Snt <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SERVICE DIRECTOR <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO COMPLETE <br />APPLICATIONS FOR OBTAININ'G FEDERAL FIIVANCIAL <br />ASSISTANCE UNDER THE FEDERAL DISASTER ACT, AND <br />DECLARIIVG AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted suffered property damage as <br />a result of the storm of july 4, 19 69 , and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted, through its Service Director, <br />has applied for Federal Assistance under the Federal Disaster Act, and <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of North Olmsted. now wishes to <br />authorize the Service Director of the City of North Olmsted to complete all <br />necessary forms, especially Exhibit " A" attached hereto and made a part <br />hereof, and do everything necessary to obtain Federal Financial Assistance <br />as set forth above. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of theCity of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the Council of the City of 1Vorth Olmsted hereby <br />authorized Charles Watts, Service Director of the City of North Olmsted, <br />to execute for and on behalf of the City of North Olmsted all applications <br />necessary, and to do everything required, to obtain Federal Financial <br />Assitance under the Federal Disaster Act, and especially Exhibit " A" <br />attached hereto and made a part hereof, and further that three ( 3) Council- <br />men will execute their signatures to Exhibit " A" as required by the Federal <br />Disaster Act, Public Law 875, 81st Congress. <br />Section 2. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of thepublic peace, safety, <br />health and welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that said application must <br />be completed and in the hands of the Adjutant General's Department, Office of <br />Emergency Planning, by October 9, 1969.
