... ._... ........ . . . . .. ._. ,.,.., ...,_.. ..., . .. . ._..., ....... ._..... _....... . ...__. ,,._.,.a.. ?...,?--?.. , { <br />q77 <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ? ? p <br />a.?[A?JI <br />RESOLUTIONS NO. 69- <br />f $3 <br />BY <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED THAT ITS ADMINISTRATIVE <br />OFFICERS SHALL COOPERATE IN A JOINT EFFORT VITITH <br />NEIGHBORtNG COMMUNITIES TO SOLVE THE STORM <br />WATER DRAINAGE PROBLEM NOW EXISTING, AND DE- <br />CLARING AN EMERGEN CY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has experienced continued <br />and growing problems resulting from over bank flooding and inadequate <br />storm water drainage, and <br />WHEREAS, this problem is related to and aggravated by storm <br />water emanating from both outside and inside the corporate boundaries <br />of the City, requiring improved drainage outlets from the City of North <br />Olmsted, and <br />WHEREAS, the adequate and equitable solution to this problem can <br />best be achieved by cooperative action between local communities, the <br />State of Ohio, and the United States Govenment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted, State of Ohio : <br />Section l. That the City of North Olmsted does hereby au'thorize <br />and encourage its administrative officers to work with counterpart officers <br />in the adjacent communities of Avon, Avon Lake, Bay Village, Fairview <br />Park, North Ridgeville, Olmsted Falls, West View, and other interested <br />communities , and the State and Federal representatives for the purpose <br />of determining the most advantageous program for cooperative action for <br />the management and control of streams within the corporate limits. <br />Section Z. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, safety, <br />health and welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that basements "of homes <br />in the City of North Olmsted have been flooded and extensive property damage <br />incurred. WHEREFORE, this Resolution shall take effect and be in force im- <br />mediately upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PAS SE D: ?
