? <br />. <br />? <br />? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 69 4Z1O <br />/ <br />BY <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO COIVTRACT <br />WITH THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CUYAHOGA COUNTY, <br />OHIO, FOR THE PURPOSE OF IIVSTALLATION, MAIN'TENANCE <br />AND USE OF A TELETYPE SYSTEM, AND DECLARING AnT <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the North Olmsted Police Department has advised Council <br />that the police are in need of a connecting teletype system with the Cuyahoga <br />County Sheriff' s office ; and <br />WHEREAS, Council is of the opinion that it would be to the best in- <br />terest of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted that the Police Department <br />be a part of the teletype system connecting with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's <br />office ; and <br />WHEREAS, Council now wishes to 'authorize the Mayor to contract <br />with the Cuyahoga County Commissioners for the installation, maintenance <br />and use of the police teletype system. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio : <br />Section 1. That the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted is hereby <br />authorized to enter into a contract with the County Commissioners of Cuyahoga <br />County for the installation, maintenance and use of the police teletype system. <br />Section 2. That the necessary expenditures be in accordance with the <br />terms of the contract attached hereto, marked Exhibit " Aand made a part <br />hereof. <br />Section 3. That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to forward a <br />copy of this Resolution to the Finance Director and to the Chief of Police. <br />Section 4. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, safety, <br />health and welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that the North Olmsted <br />Police Department is in immediate need of the information with respect to <br />criminal activities that can be provided by the police teletype system.
