? r <br />ow <br />. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 69-123 <br />BY <br />AN ORDINANCE GIVING CONSENT TO THE STATE OF OHIO <br />TO THE RELOCATION OF STATE ROUTE 252 WITHIN THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Highways is considering improving a portion <br />of the public highway which is described as follows: the relocation and <br />construction of State Route No. 252 from the South Corporation Line of the <br />City of North Olmsted northward to Rose Road, including the construction <br />of that portion o.f said relocation between Butternut Ridge Road and Brook- <br />park Road (S. R. 17) as a limited access highway, in accordance with the <br />alignment established by public hearing held in North Olmsted, Ohio on <br />May 12, 1966, or as such alignment may be modified by further engineering <br />investigation; and the improvement of State Route No. 252 (Columbia Road) <br />on its existing location from Rose Road northward to the North Corpora- <br />tion Line of the City of North Olmsted; said relocation and improvement <br />to provide a facility with a minimum of four lanes, the length within <br />the corporate limits of the City of North Olmsted being 2.96 miles, more <br />or less. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, Ohio: <br />Section 1. (Consent) That it is declared to be in the public inter- <br />est that the consent of said City be and such consent is hereby given to the <br />Director of Highweys to construct the above described improvement in accord- <br />ance with plans, specifications and estimates as approved by the Director, <br />and such consent is given provided that points of access to the facility are <br />made available at the following locations: <br />a) East and west access points approximately 400' north of <br />the existing north right-of-way line of Butternut Ridge Road; <br />b) East and west access points approximately 800' north of the <br />existing north right-of-way line of Butternut Ridge Road; <br />c) West access only, approximately 1200' north of the existing <br />north right-of-way line of Butternut Ridge Road; , <br />d) East and west access points approximately 1100' south of the <br />existing south right-of-way line of Brookpark Road; <br />e) East and west access points approximately 400' south of the <br />existing south right-of-way line of Brookpark Road. <br />Section 2. (Cooperation) That said City hereby proposes to cooperate <br />with the State of Ohio, in the cost of the above described improvement as <br />follows: the City agrees to provide the portion of the above described im- <br />provement between Brookpark Rd. (S.R. 17) and Lorain Rd. (S. R. 10), previously <br />constructed by the City in accordance with design standards acceptable to the <br />State of Ohio, in lieu of any further participation in the costs of construc- <br />tion, right-of-way, engineering and municipally-owned utility adjustments re- <br />sulting from the remainder of the above described improvement. <br />Section 3. (Authority to Sign) That the Mayor of said City, is hereby <br />duthorized to enter into maintenance and parking agreements and special con- <br />tractual obligations.
