..? ? <br />CTTY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINAINCE NO. 69- 114 <br />BY <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BUILDING <br />COMMISSIONER TO PROCEED WITH THE DE- <br />MOLITION OR REMOVAL OF THE BUILDING ON <br />PERMANENT PARCEL NO. 237-12-42, VIRGINIA <br />AVENUE, IVORTH OLMSTED, OHIO. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 1331.01 - <br />1331.06 inclusive of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, <br />the Building Commission has determined that abandoned building at23074 _ <br />Virginia Avenue, and also known as Permanent Parcel No. 237-12-42, the <br />record title holder of which is Grace Smith, is unsafe, dangerous to human <br />life and a hazard to the safety, health and public welfare of the City of <br />North Olmsted ; and <br />WHEREAS, notice to repair, remove or demolish said building was <br />served by certified mail on said record title holder on August 1, 1968, order- <br />ing said owner to repair, remove' or demolish said building and to commence <br />such repair, removal or demolition within forty-eight hours of receipt of such <br />notice ; and <br />WHEREAS, said owner has failed within said time limit and up to the <br />present date to comply therewith. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That Council deems it necessary to proceed with the de- <br />molition and removal of the building or accessory buildings at 23074. Virginia <br />Avenue, North Olmsted, Ohio, also known as Permanent Parcel No. 237-12- <br />42, owned by Grace Smith, whose mailing address is 45 E. 56th Street, Long <br />Beach, California, by reason of the fact that said building has been determined <br />to be dangerous to human life and a hazard to the public safety, health and <br />welfare, and that the cost of demolition and removal be paid from the General <br />Fund of the City of North Olmsted and charged to the owner as a special as- <br />sessment or lien on said parcel of land and assessed and collected in the <br />manner of other assessments as provided by law. <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to forward to <br />Grace Smith, 45 E. 56th Street, Long Beaeh, California, a copy of this <br />Ordinance. <br />Section 3.
