<br />, <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDIIVANCE NO. 69- fOZ <br /> . <br />BY <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE GENER.AL OFFENSES CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO, SECTION 525.02 ( a) <br />( CODIFIED ORDINAN'CES ), ENTITLED " SALES TO MINORS, " <br />TO CONFORM TO CHANGES ENACTED BY THE OHIO GENERAL <br />ASSEMBLY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that it is in the best interest of <br />the City of North Olmsted that the North Olmsted General Offenses Code <br />be reviewed to eliminate any conflicts with provisions of the State Statues, <br />as enacted by the Ohio General Assembly. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That Section 525.02 ( a), Chapter 525 r Codified Ordinances ) <br />of the North Olmsted General Offenses Code reading as follows: <br />525.02 ( a) SALES TO MINORS. <br />( aNo person shall sell intoxicating liquor to a person <br />under the age of twenty-one years or sell beer to a <br />person under the age of eighteen, or buy intoxicating <br />liquor for, or furnish it to a minor unless given by a <br />physician in the regular line of his practice or by a <br />parent or legal guardian . " <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />525.02 ( a) SALES TO MINORS. <br />( a) No person shall sell intoxicating liquor to a person <br />under the age of twenty-one years or sell beer to a <br />person under the age of eighteen, or buy intoxicating <br />liquor for, or furnish it to, a minor, or buy beer for <br />or furnish it to a person under the age of eighteen , <br />unless given by a physician in the regular line of his <br />practice, or by a parent or legal guardian. <br />In proceedings before the Liquor Control Commission, <br />no permit holder, his employee or agent charged with <br />a violation of this section shall, for the same offense, <br />be charged with a violation of Ohio R. C. 4301. 22 ( A). <br />Section 2. That any ordinance or parts of ordinances, or resolution or <br />parts of resolutions, inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance, are <br />hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance.
