CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BY <br />ORDINANCE NO. 69-44 <br />AN ORDIIVANCE FDXING THE COMPENSATION OF THE <br />DIRECTOR OF FINANCE OF THE CITY TO BE ELECTED, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that the amount of time <br />necessary toeffectively carry out the duties of Director of Finance of the <br />City of North Olmsted is increasing steadily as the population of the City <br />is augmented by new citizens moving into the City ; and <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of Council has determined that <br />the compensation of the Director of Finance in the City of North Olmsted <br />should be increased commensurate with the compensation paid to elected <br />Directors of Finance in other adjoining communities ; and <br />WHEREAS, Council has accepted the recommendations of the <br />Finance Committee and hereby wishes to increase the compensation of the <br />Director of Finance elected in the municipal election to be held in 19 69, <br />all in accordance with Article IV, Section 6 of the Charter of the City of <br />North Olmsted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted, State of Ohio : <br />Section 1. Council does hereby establish, for the purpose of <br />nominating and electing the Director of Finance of the City and fixing the <br />compensation of the Director of Finance to be elected in the municipal <br />election in 1969, that the salary of the Director of Finance to be filled in <br />the election in 1969, shall be $11, 000.00. <br />Section 2. That Ordinance No. 67-33, enacted January 17, 1967, <br />and any other ordinance or, parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance <br />is hereby repealed as of the effective date of this ordinance. <br />Section 3. That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to for- <br />ward to the Board of Elections a certified and conformed copy of this ordinance. <br />Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure and such emergency exists by virtue of the necessity of <br />notifying the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County of the salary of the <br />Director of Finance to be filled under the provisions of this Charter in the <br />November election of 1969, in order for said Board of Elections to establish <br />the filing fees for the office of Director of Finance, which filing date ex- <br />pires March 7, 1969. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be <br />in force immediately upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period <br />allowed by law. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />.?--,_ - = - - - - <br />Florence Holm, Clerk of Council <br />APPROVED: //,Z 1/(o ? <br />Ralph .
