? r <br />CIrff OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINAN'CE NO. 69-d.2 Page 2 <br />full time service, after which such employees shall receive 4% of their base <br />annual salary, thereafter until the completion of the fifteenth ( 15 ) year of <br />continuous full time service, and thereafter 5% of their base annual salary <br />until after the completion of the twentieth ( 20 ) year of continuous full time <br />service, and during each year of tull time service thereafter they shall re- <br />ceive 6% of their base annual salary as longevity increments. <br />Section 4. In computing length of service for the purpose of making <br />payments of longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be <br />given for part-time services, but such limitation is only for the purpose of <br />computing longevity increments, and the exclusion for part-time service <br />shall not deprive any employee of any other benefits which may be due them <br />for part-time service as employees in the Building; Department. <br />Section 5. The secretarial or clerical help of the Building, Department <br />of the City of North Olmsted shall receive , as a longevity increment, the <br />sum of $25.00. This longevity increment shall be payable over and above <br />any annual salary or hourly salary paid to said secretary or clerical help , <br />and shall be at the rate of $25. 00 for each and every year said secretary <br />or clerical help has been continually employed by the City of North Olmsted. <br />Section 6. That the employees of the Building Department shall not <br />be required to work the following holidays : New Year's Day ; Memorial Day ; <br />Independence Day ; Labor Day ; Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, un- <br />less requested to by the Building Commissioner in an emergency. <br />Section 7. That for each full time Inspector of the Building Department <br />and full time hourly employees of the Building Department, the City of North <br />Olmsted shall pay an amount equal to a single person's rate per month towards <br />the cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization and Medical Mutual premiums of said <br />inspectors , as established by Contract 52YS effective the 22nd day of May, <br />19 65 . <br />Section 8. That any other ordinance or resolution, or parts of <br />ordinances or parts of resolutions, inconsistent herewith to the provisions <br />of this ordinance are hereby repealed with the effective date of this ordinance. <br />Section 9. That the Clerk of Council is hereby instructed to forward <br />a copy of this Ordinance to the Building Commissioner and the Finance Director <br />for the payment of remuneration as set forth above immediately upon its passage. <br />Section 10. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, <br />safety and welfare of the City by virtue of the fact that there is an immediate <br />necessity of adjusting compensation for the City employees so as to make such <br />compensation commensurate with the requirements of the various jobs.WHERE- <br />FORE, this ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED. <br />ATTEST: <br />? . . <br />Florence Holm, Clerk of Council Francis J.
