CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 69-Ze <br />? <br />BY <br />s <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN <br />APPLICATION FOR FIIVANCIAL ASSISTANCE UNDER <br />THE FEDERAL LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION <br />FUND ACT OF 1964 FOR OUTDOOR RECREATION <br />PURPOSES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Land and Water Conservation Fund Act <br />of 1964 ( Public Law 88-578 ) provides financial assistance to the State <br />of Ohio and it political subdivibions for outdoor recreation purposes ; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted desires financial assistance <br />under the Land and Water Conservation Fund program . <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted, State of Ohio : <br />Section 1. That the Council of the City of North Olmsted hereby <br />approves the filing of an application for Land and Water Conservation Fund <br />assistance. <br />Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted is hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute and file DNR 90 or DNR 91, Project <br />Proposal--Acquisition or Development, with the Department of Natural <br />Resources, State of Ohio, and provide the information and documentation <br />required in said application for ultimate submission to the Federal Bureau <br />of Outdoor Recreation, <br />Section 3. That the Council of the City of North Olmsted does <br />hereby agree to obligate the funds or services required to satisfactorily <br />complete the proposed project and thus become eligible for Land and Water <br />Conservation Fund Act financial aid of 50% of the estimated or actual <br />allowable cost, whichever is less, at the completion of said project. <br />Section 4. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency resolution by virtue of the fact that additional recreation is <br />urgently needed for the public peace, safety, health and welfare.
