CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 69-63 BY AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO, SECTION 301.10 (CODIFIED ORDINANCE) ENTITLED "EMERGENCY VEHICLES," TO CONFORM TO CHANGES ENACTED BY THE OHIO GENERAL ASSEMBLY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City of North Olmsted that the North Olmsted Traffic Code be reviewed to eliminate any conflicts with provisions of the State Statutes, as enacted by the Ohio General Assembly. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: Section 1. That Section 301.10, Chapter 301 (Codified Ordinance) of the North Olmsted Traffic Code reading as follows: 301.10 EMERGENCY VEHICLE. "Emergency vehicle" shall mean Fire Department, Police, and State Highway patrol vehicles, ambulances, vehicles of salvage corporations organized under Ohio Revised Code 1709.01 et seq., emergency vehicles or municipal or county departments or public utility corporations when identified as such as required by law, motor vehicles when command- eered by a police officer, and motor vehicles when used by volunteer firemen responding to emergency calls in the Fire Department service when identified as required by law." be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 301.10 EMERGENCY VEHICLE. "Emergency vehicle" means vehicles of salvage corpora- tions organized under Ohio R. C. 1709.01 to 1709.07, inclusive, emergency vehicles of municipal or county departments or public utility corporations when identi- fied as such as required by law, the Ohio Director of Highways or local authorities, and motor vehicles when commandeered by a police officer. Section 2. That any ordinance or parts of ordinances, or resolutions or parts of resolutions, inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance, are hereby repealed with effective date of this Ordinance.
