. <br />? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 69-63 <br />BY <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO, SECTION 301.10 <br />(CODIFIED ORDINANCE) ENTITLED "EMERGENCY <br />VEHICLES," TO CONFORM TO CHANGES ENACTED BY <br />THE OHIO GENERAL ASSEMBLY, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that it is in the best <br />interest of the City of North Olmsted that the North Olmsted Traffic <br />Code be reviewed to eliminate any conflicts with provisions of the <br />State Statutes, as enacted by the Ohio General Assembly. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That Section 301.10, Chapter 301 (Codified <br />Ordinance) of the North Olmsted Traffic Code reading as follows: <br />301.10 EMERGENCY VEHICLE. <br />"Emergency vehicle" shall mean Fire Department, <br />Police, and State Highway patrol vehicles, <br />ambulances, vehicles of salvage corporations <br />organized under Ohio Revised Code 1709.01 et seq., <br />emergency vehicles or municipal or county departments <br />or public utility corporations when identified as <br />such as required by law, motor vehicles when command- <br />eered by a police officer, and motor vehicles when <br />used by volunteer firemen responding to emergency <br />calls in the Fire Department service when identified <br />as required by law." <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />301.10 EMERGENCY VEHICLE. <br />"Emergency vehicle" means vehicles of salvage corpora- <br />tions organized under Ohio R. C. 1709.01 to 1709.07, <br />inclusive, emergency vehicles of municipal or county <br />departments or public utility corporations when identi- <br />fied as such as required by law, the Ohio Director of <br />Highways or local authorities, and motor vehicles <br />when commandeered by a police officer. <br />Section 2. That any ordinance or parts of ordinances, or <br />resolutions or parts of resolutions, inconsistent with the provisions <br />of this Ordinance, are hereby repealed with effective date of this <br />Ordinance.
