? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 69-67 PAGE 2 <br />(b) No person shall own, operate or have in <br />his possession any motor vehicle or motor- <br />cycle equipped with a device for producing <br />excessive smoke or gas, or so equipped as <br />to permit oil or any other chemical to flow <br />into or upon the exhaust pipe or muffler of <br />such vehicle, or equipped in any other way <br />to produce or emit smoke or dangerous or <br />annoying gases from any portion of such <br />vehicle, other than the ordinary gases <br />emitted by the exhaust of an internal <br />combustion engine under normal operation. <br />Section 2. That any ordinance or parts of ordinances, <br />or resolutions or parts of resolutions, inconsistent with the <br />provisions of this Ordinance, are hereby repealed with the effec- <br />tive date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the <br />public peace, safety, health and welfare by virtue of the fact <br />that Section 337.20 prior to this amendment is in conflict with <br />the provisions of the State Statutes.
