.?,,.. <br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 69- 7;? <br />BY <br />AN ORDINANCE ENACTING THE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO, SECTION 343.05 <br />( CODIFIED ORDINAIVCE ), ENTITLED " ILLEGAL SALE <br />OR POSSESSION OF MASTER VEHICLE KEYS, " TO CON- <br />FORM TO CHANGES ENACTED BY THE OHIO GENERAL <br />ASSEMBLY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGEIVCY. <br />WHEREAS, Coun cil has determined that it is in the best interest <br />of the City of North Olmsted, that the North Olmsted Traffic Code be reviewed <br />to eliminate any conflicts with provisions of the State Statutes, as enacted <br />by the Ohio General Assembly. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted, State of Ohio : <br />Section l. That Section 343. 05 , Chapter 343 ( Codified Ordinance ) <br />of the North Olmsted Traffic Code shall read as follows: <br />343.05 ILLEGAL SALE OR POSSESSION OF MASTER <br />VEHICLE KEYS. <br />No person shall sell or otherwise dispose of a master key <br />designed to fit more than one motor vehicle , knowing or <br />having reasonable cause to believe such key will be used <br />to commit a crime. <br />No person shall buy, receive or have in his possesssion a <br />master key designed to fit more than one motor vehicle, for <br />the purpose of using such key to commit a crime. <br />Whoever violates this section shall, for a first offense, <br />be guilty of a misdemeanor. <br />Section 2. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary, for the immediate preservation of the public <br />peace, safety, health and welfare by virtue of the fact that Section 343.05 <br />has been enacted to conform with the provisions of the State Statutes. WHERE- <br />FORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSE D: <br />ATTEST: <br />Florence Holm, Clerk of Council <br />APPROVED: 3118/(09 <br />9 <br />Ralph .
