CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 69-13 <br />BY-?? <br />AN ORDINANCE ENACTIN'G THE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO, SECTION 301.43 <br />( CODIFIED ORDINANCE ), ENTITLED, " PUBLIC SAFETY <br />VEHICLE. " TO CONFORM TO CHAIVGES ENACTED BY THE <br />OHIO GENERAL ASSEMBLY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that it is in the best interest <br />of the City of North Olmsted that the North Olmsted Traffic Code be reviewed <br />to eliminate any conflicts with provisions of the State Statutes, as enacted <br />by the Ohio General Assembly. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted, State of Ohio : <br />Section 1. That Section 301.43, Chapter 301 ( Codified Ordinance ) <br />of the North Olmsted Traffic Code shall read as follows: <br />301.43 PUBLIC SAFETY VEHICLE. <br />" Public safety vehicle " means ambulances, motor vehicles <br />used by public law enforcement officers or other persons <br />sworntoenforce the criminal and traffic laws of the State, <br />and the vehicles used by the fire department, including <br />motor vehicles when used by volunteer firemen responding <br />to emergency calls in the fire department service when <br />identified as required by the Ohio Director of Highway <br />Safety. <br />Section 2. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public <br />peace, safety, health and welfare by virtue of the fact that Section 301.43 <br />has been enacted to conform with the provisions of the State Statutes. <br />Wi,IEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon <br />its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED:?g 9(? ? <br />ATTEST: <br />C? <br />Florence Holm, Clerk of Council <br />, <br />Francis J.
