T <br />?, . <br />.4? <br />CITY OF N'ORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 69-?? <br />BY . <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO, SECTION 303.01 <br />( CODIFIED ORDINANCE ), ENTITLED " COMPLIANCE <br />WlTH LAWFUL ORDER OF POLICE OFFICER, " TO CON- <br />FORM TO CHANGES ENACTED BY THE OHIO GENERAL <br />ASSEMBLY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that it is in the best interest <br />of the City of North Olmsted that the North Olmsted Traffic Code be reviewed <br />to eliminate any conflicts with provisions of the State Statutes, as enacted <br />by the Ohio General Assembly. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That Section 303.01, Chapter 303 ( Codified Ordinance ) <br />of the North Olmsted Traffic Code reading as follows: <br />303.01 COMPLIANCE WITH LAWFUL ORDER OF <br />POLICE OFFICER. <br />" No person shall fail to comply with any lawful order or <br />direction of any police officer invested with authority to <br />direct, control, or regulate traffic. " <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />303.01 COMPLIANCE WITH LAWFUL ORDER OF POLICE <br />OFFICER ; FLEEIN'G. <br />No person shall fail to comply with any lawful order or <br />direction of any police officer invested with authority to <br />direct, control or regulate traffic. <br />No person shall operate a motor vehicle so as to willfully <br />elude or flee a police officer after receiving a visible or <br />audible signal from a police officer to bring his motor <br />vehicle to a stop. <br />Section 2. That any ordinance or parts of ordinances,or <br />resoultions or parts of resolutions, inconsistent with theprovisions of this <br />ordinance are hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance.
