? <br />? <br />? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 69?? <br />BY <br />AN ORDINANCE ENACTIIVG SECTION 501.10 OF <br />THE GENERAL OFFENSES CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO, ( CODIFIED ORDINANCES ), <br />ENTITLED, "CROWD CONTROL AT FIRES, EMERGENCIES <br />AND DISASTERS, " TO CONFORM TO CHANGES EN- <br />ACTED BY THE OHIO GENERAL ASSEMBLY, AND DE- <br />CLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that it is in the best interest of <br />the City of North Olmsted that the North Olmsted General Offenses Code be <br />reviewed to eliminate any conflicts with provisions of the State Statutes, as <br />enacted by the Ohio General Assembly. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That Section 501.10, Chapter 501 ( codified Ordinances ) of <br />the North Olmsted General Offenses Code shall read as follows: <br />501.10 CROWD CONTROL AT FIRES, EMERGEIVCIES <br />AND DISASTERS. <br />No person shall willfully obstruct, impede or hamper in <br />any way the lawful operations of sheriffs, policemen or <br />other law enforcement officers, or firemen, rescue personnel, <br />medical personel, or other authorized persons, at the scene <br />of fires, accidents, disasters or emergencies of any kind. <br />Nothing in this section shall be contrued to limit access or <br />deny information of any news media representatives in the <br />lawful exercise of their duties. <br />Section 2. That any ordinance or parts of ordinances, or resolution <br />or parts of resolutions, inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance , are <br />hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, safety, <br />health and welfare by virtue of the fact that Section 501.10 prior to this amend- <br />ment is in conflict with the provision of the State Statutes.
