<br />. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 81-122 <br />BY: Mayor Swietyniowski <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE GREAT <br />NORTHERN SHOPPING CENTER TO INSTALL <br />STREET ILLUMINATION ON COUNTRY CLUB <br />BLVD. FROrI GREAT NORTHERN BLVD. TO <br />APPROXIMATELY 1200 FEET WEST AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Great Northern Shopping Center has agreed to install <br />street illumination on Country Club Boulevard from Great Northern <br />Boulevard to anproximately 1200 feet west, and <br />WHEREAS, The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company has <br />prepared installation plans and specifications for the installation of <br />thirteen (13) luminaire, and <br />WHEREAS, the safety of the public will be improved by the <br />installation of this street illumination. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter <br />into an agreement with the Great Northern Shopping Center allowing them <br />to have installed approximately thirteen (13) luminaires in the right <br />of way of Country Club Blvd. and to pay the cost of installation, and <br />further to pay the annual Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company <br />charges for power and maintenance until January l, 1982, a copy of <br />which agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked <br />Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that <br />the street illumination will provide a safer environment for motorists <br />and pedestrians, and further provided it receives the affi.rmative vote <br />of tcvo-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: 11 ,s'. /9r/ <br />, <br />ATTEST: <br />. <br />Florence E.
