CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 81-94 <br />gy; R. Wilamosky <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING EIGHT THOUSAND FIVE <br />HUNDRED DOLLARS ($8,500.00) FROM THE REVENUE <br />SHARING FUND, CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS, FOR THE <br />REMOVAL OF THE BITUMINOUS ASPHALT CONCRETE <br />WEARING COURSE ON DOVER CENTER ROAD, C.R. 58, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted and County of Cuyahoga <br />has encountered numerous problems regarding the roadway drainage <br />and the rideability of the pavement of Dover Center Road, C.R. 58, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the County Engineer has agreed to apply a <br />rubberized asphalt surface treatment, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted passed Ordinance <br />No. 81-87 on June 16, 1981, authorizing the Service Director to <br />advertise for bids for the removal of the bituminous asphalt <br />concrete wearing course, and <br />WHEREAS, the cost of removal and sealing should reduce the <br />cost of pavement maintenance and improve roadway drainage and <br />rideability. <br />tiOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Council hereby appropriates the sum of <br />Eight Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($8,500.00) from the Revenue <br />Sharing Fund, Capital Improvements, for the purpose of contracting <br />for the removal of the wearing course on Dover Center Road, C.R. 58. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council shall immediately <br />forward an attested copy of the Ord:i.nance to the Auditor of <br />Cuyahoga County. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of <br />the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the City, and <br />for the further reason that the County Engineer has scheduled <br />the bid opening for this maintenance project, the sealing of <br />Dover Center Road, C.R. 58, for July 22, 1981; therefore, this <br />Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and immediately <br />after its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: .21 17i <br />ATTEST: <br />FLORENCE CAMPBELL, ERK OF COUNCIL <br />? ,. <br />APPRO4ED: 1 ? <br />_ ---, t <br />DENJEY .
