CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 81-73 <br />BY . <br />AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING THE <br />SALE OF CERTAIN SURPLUS EQUIPMENT AND THE <br />SUBSTITUTING OF EQUIPNIENT THAT WAS PREVTOUSLY <br />AUTHORIZED TO BE SOLD BY VIRTUE OF ORDINANCE <br />N0. 80-149, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council adopted Ordinance No. 80-149 on <br />January 20, 1981, and authorized the Director of Public Safety <br />to dispose of certain surplus equipment, and <br />WHEREAS, it was determined that the North Olmsted cruiser <br />known as Number 5250, namely, a 1973 Ford Four-Door Sedan, Vin <br />Number 3W53S202025, could be utilized by the Engineering Department, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it was determined that the vehicle used by the Divisioal rf <br />Engineering, namely, a 1974 Chevrolet four-door sedan, Vin Number <br />1K69H4T223236, was no longer suitable for the purposes of the <br />Engineering Department, and <br />WHEREAS, because of the putchase of a used ambulance the <br />maintenance ambulance used in the Fire Department was no longer <br />needed for public purpose. Said ambulance was a 1969 Chevrolet <br />Ambulance, Vin Number CE169F890191, and <br />WHEREAS, an auction was held on the 16th day of May, 1981, <br />and the two additional vehicles specified herein were sold to the <br />highest bidder and it is the desire of th_is Council to ratify and <br />confirm the sale of said surplus property. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That this Council does hereby ratify and confirm <br />the following: <br />(a) The Transfer of the Detective vehicle known as <br />5250, a four-door 1973 Ford, Vin Number 3W53S202025, <br />to the Engineering Department for use therein. <br />(b) The sale of a surplus 1969 Chevrolet Ambulance, <br />Vin Number CE169F890191, for $250.00. <br />(c) The sale of a 1974 Chevrolet four-door sedan used <br />in the Engineering Department with Vin Number <br />1K69H4T223236, for the sum of $125.00. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety, and welfare, and for the further reason that <br />it is immediately necessary to re£lect the transactions which have <br />taken place relative to the sale of and retention of surplus eQuip- <br />ment, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and <br />be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
