ORDINANCE N0. 81 - 71 <br />BY: JAMES BOEHMER <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FEES FOR THE <br />USE OF THE NORTH OLMSTED CITY JAIL FACILITIES <br />BY OTHER GOVERNMENTAL ENTITIES FOR THE PLACE- <br />MENT OF PRISONERS. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has in the past <br />cooperated with other governmental entities in the housing of <br />prisoners on a short term basis, and <br />WHEREAS, as a matter of administrative policy the cost <br />charged to other governmental entities was $22.50 per day, and <br />WHEREAS, it is no longer economically feasible to house <br />prisoners for $22.50 per day, and in light of that, it is the <br />recommendation of the Finance Committee of Council that the amount <br />be increased to $45.00 per day. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That there is hereby established a rate of <br />$45.00 per ay or the use of the North Olmsted City Jail facilities <br />in the housing of prisoners by other governmental entities. <br />SECTION 2: That the Chief of Police or any administrative <br />personnel of e-Police Department shall keep an accurate record <br />of the use of North Olmsted Jail facilities by other governmental <br />entities and shall promptly invoice the governmental entity using <br />said facilities and send a caxbon copy thereof to the Director of <br />Finance of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 3: That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized <br />and directe to accept any and all moneys for the use of the North <br />Olmsted Jail Facilities, to be deposited in the General Fund. <br />SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall take effect and be in <br />force from an a ter the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />FL NCE CAMPBE L, CLERK F COUNCIL <br />?. <br />DE E .
