YVONNE PETRIGAC <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A NEW SECTION WITHIN <br />CHAPTER 521 ENTITLED " HEALTH, SAFETY AND <br />SANITATION", SAID NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS <br />SECTION 521.12 ENTITLED "NEWSPAPER DROP OFF <br />DELIVERIES". <br />WHEREAS, this Council has determined that it would be <br />in the best interest of the City to regulate the drop off areas <br />for newspaper deliveries, and <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the <br />health, safety, and welfare of the City to adopt such a new regula- <br />tory section. <br />NOW, THEREFQRE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF NOR.TH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That there is hereby established a new Section <br />521.11 entitled "Newspaper Drop off Deliveries" of Chapter 521 <br />entitled "Health, Safety and Sanitation", which new section shall <br />read as follows: <br />521.1+1 NEWSPAPER DROP OFF DELIVERIES. <br />(a) No person shall place or <br />bundles or otherwise, on any sidewalk <br />as a delivery drop of such articles. <br />a location other than the residential <br />signee of such papers shall constitut <br />violation of this section. <br />deposit newspapers in <br />or any public right of way <br />Delivery of newspapers to <br />property occupied by a con- <br />e prima-facie evidence of a <br />(b) This section does not apply to the deposit of newspapers <br />for the purpose of Municipal garbage and rubbish collection or paper <br />collection recycling, by persons owning, occupying or possessing any <br />real property within the City. <br />(c) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor <br />misdemeanor.
