WILAMOSKY <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING ADDITIONAL HOSPITALIZA- <br />TION BENEFITS FOR MEMBERS OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />BY ADDING TO THE EXISTING HOSPITALIZATION BENEFITS <br />A PROVISION FOR DENTAL COVER.AGE AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to provide dental coverage <br />as an addition to the existing hospitalization benefits for <br />sworn, uniform, full-time members of the Police Department who <br />have been in service for at least one (1) year, and <br />WHEREAS, the basic coverage is that provided by Blue <br />Shield which includes, among other things, a deductible of <br />Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) per person per calendar year <br />of coverage and an annual maximum of One Thousand Dollars <br />($1,000.00) per covered person per benefit year. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That in addition to the benefits given to <br />sworn, unorm,Tull-time members of the Police Department as <br />more fully specified in Ordinance 77-111, all sworn, uniform, <br />full-time members of the Police Department with at least one (1) <br />year of service shall receive additional coverage, that being <br />dental insurance, which insurance shall be obtained through <br />Blue Shield and have as some of its features a Twenty Five <br />Do11ar ($25.00) deductible per person per calendar year, together <br />with an annual maximum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) payable <br />per covered person during any benefit year. <br />SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances <br />in conflict fierewith are hereby repealed with the effective <br />date of this ardinance. <br />SECTION 3: That the coverage for dental insurance as <br />specifie in Section 1 hereof shall become effective June l, <br />1981. <br />SECTION 4: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the public health, safety, and welfare, and for the further reason <br />that it is immediately necessary to coordinate benefits for <br />members of the Police Department, and further provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: Z?"
