CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 81-48 <br />BY: DWAYNE R. WOERPEL <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO <br />AN AGREEMENT WITH ROBERT KACIREK, JR,, OF THE <br />KACIREK FUNERAL HOME FOR THE PURCHASE OF A 1979 <br />FORD 350 AMBULANCE FOR A PRICE NOT TO EXCEED <br />$17,500.00, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted presently has three <br />(3) ambulances, one of which is in a state of disrenair because <br />of its age, and <br />WHEREAS, the Administration and Council havebeen advised <br />that Kacirek Funeral Home presently has a 1979 Ford 350 Ambulance <br />which they wish to sell, and <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed by this Council and the Administration <br />that it would be in the best interest of the City of North Olmsted <br />to purchase said ambulance so that the 1972 ambulance which is <br />presently in service can be taken out of service. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into an agreement with Kacirek Funeral Home <br />for the purpose of purchasing a 1979 Ford 350 Ambulance. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation <br />of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further <br />reason that it is immediately necessary to purchase said vehicle <br />to replace the 1972 ambulance which is obsolete, and further provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected <br />to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: /?.?,n. p T. 191-1 <br />ATTEST: U 4 , <br />GV.
