? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81- 15 <br />BY: RONALD WILAMOSKY <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE STATE OF OHIO TO <br />PROVIDE THE NECESSARY LIGHTING FOR PEDESTRIAN <br />BRIDGES OVER INTERSTATE 480 AT CYPRESS AND <br />CRISTMAN DRIVES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, pedestrian bridges have been constructed over <br />Interstate 480 at Cypress and Christman Drives, and <br />WHEREAS, when the same were constructed they were constructed <br />without proper lighting, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has determined that in order to provide <br />for the safety, health and welfare of the residents of the City of <br />North Olmsted it is necessary to install proper lighting so as to <br />help diminish crime and to protect residents traversing over said <br />bridges, and <br />WHEREAS, the aforesaid bridges were constructed as an over- <br />al.l design of the I-480 highway project, and <br />WHEREAS, the design omitted the desired and proper lighting. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council does hereby urge the Ohio <br />Departmen?Transportation to take immediate steps to correct <br />the deficiency in lighting over the pedestrian bridges located <br />at Cynress and Christman Drives. <br />SECTION 2: That it is immediately necessary to preserve <br />the health, safety and welfare of the residents by installing <br />lighting, and for the further reason that it is necessary to <br />correct a condition that is dangerous to pedestrians, and further <br />privided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council it shall take ef£ect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSBD: <br />ATTEST: ? <br />F RE C CAMPBELL, C K OF C UNCIL D .
