??. <br />? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81- 6 <br />BY: MR. DEAN McKAY <br />A RESOLUTION URGING THE DIRECTOR OF HIGHWAYS <br />OF THE STATE OF OHIO TO CONSTRUCT GUARD RAILS <br />AT THE LOCATION OF STATE ROUTE I-480 AND GRACE <br />ROAD IN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLAR- <br />ING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council has determined that the absence of <br />guard rails at the location of I-480 and Grace Road constitutes <br />a potential safety hazard to the area residents, and <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by this Council that because <br />of the design of said roadway at Grace Road that potential hazards <br />exist which could be extremely dangerous to the area residents if <br />a motor vehicle would leave the roadway at that point. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council and the Administration doeS hereby <br />urge an request the Director of Highways of the State of Ohio to <br />immediately construct guard rails at the site o£ I-480 and Grace <br />Road. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to <br />send a copy o this Resolution to Governor Rhodes, the Director of <br />Highways for the State of Ohio, Senator John Glenn and Senator <br />Howard Metzenbaum, and U. S. Representative Ronald Mottl. <br />SECTTON 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason <br />that the lack of guard rails constitutes an immediate threat to <br />the area residents, and further provided it receives the af£irmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediatley upon its passage and approval <br />by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: .Z? r <br />ATTEST: <br />F ENCE CAM BELL, C RK OF COUNCIL <br />A ROV D: !-r c}G _ ?? <br />BERT W.
