CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 89 108 BY: RON TALLON AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ALLOW FOR THE INSTAL- LATION OF SIGNS PROHIBITING LEFT HAND TURNS, FOR TRAFFIC TRAVELLING SOUTH ON DOVER CENTER ROAD HEADING INTO THE TOYS-R-US DRIVEWAY, LOCATED ON DOVER CENTER ROAD,AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, this Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the safety, health, and welfare of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted to prohibit left hand turns into Toys-R-Us driveway while travel- ling south on Dover Center Road; and WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the Traffic Control File, which said file can be amended only by ordi- nance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1.: That the Police Department be and the same is hereby authorized and directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate thereon the installation of a "No Left Turn" sign on Dover Center Road, for traffic travelling south at the point of the Toys-R-Us driveway, thereby prohibiting left hand turns from Dover Center Road into the Toys-R-Us driveway, as aforesaid. SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized and direct- ed to cause said "No Left Turn" sign to be installed in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance. SECTION 3: That this ordinance is hereby declared an emergency meas- ure necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and wel- fare, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall go into immediate force and effect upon its signing by the Mayor.
