,, <br />Departments shall not apply to the Chief of Police and Chief of Fire. <br />SECTION 13: That the salary ranges and amounts established far the <br />year 1990, will be effective retroactive to January 1, 1990. Salaries <br />specified in this ordinance shall be paid by the Director of Finance on a <br />bi-weekly basis. <br />SECTION 14: That the Foremen listed in Sections 6 and 7 hereof will <br />be paid time and one-half of their straight time rates of pay for hours <br />worked in excess of eight (8) hours in any one day and time and one-half of <br />their straight time rate of pay for hours worked in excess of forty {40) <br />hours in any one work week. Double time shall be paid to said employees <br />for Sundays and Holidays provided they have worked at least forty (40) <br />hours during the work week. <br />SECTION 15: That all full-time administrative and legislative <br />personnel listed in the Ordinance having completed (5) five years of full- <br />time continuous service as employees of said department shall be paid an <br />additional four percent (4~) of their base annual salary; thereafter until <br />completion of the tenth (10th) year of full-time continuous service after <br />which such employee shall receive five percent (5$) of their base annual <br />salary; thereafter until the completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of <br />full-time continuous service, such employee shall receive six percent (6$) <br />of their base annual salary until after the completion of the twentieth <br />(20th) year of full-time continuous service, and during each year of full- <br />time service thereafter, they shall receive seven percent (7~) of their <br />base annual salary as longevity increments. <br />SECTION 16: That all full-time administrative and legislative person- <br />nel listed within this Ordinance shall receive the following holidays off, <br />unless required to work by their supervisor or the Mayor in emergencies, <br />and shall receive their regular rate of pay; New Year's Day; President's <br />Day; one-half (1/2) day on Good Friday; Memorial Day; Independence Day; <br />Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day: one-half (1/2) day on Christmas Eve; Christ- <br />mas Day; the employee's birthday; and a floating holiday. <br />SECTION 17: That all full-time administrative and legislative person- <br />nel listed within this Ordinance shall be entitled to an annual vacation in <br />accordance with the vacation ordinance adopted by Council. <br />SECTION 18: That all ordinances or resolutions or parts of ordinances <br />or resolution in conflict herewith are hereby repealed with the effective <br />date of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 19: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare and for the further reason it is immediately necessary <br />6 <br />
