CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 89 - 95 <br />Page 2 <br />~'sEach rate step is 2,080 part-time hours. Part-time hourly <br />Bus Operators and Hostlers who are subsequently hired full-time <br />will remain in the rate step schedule they are in as a full- <br />time employee. However, no credit with part-time hours will be <br />applied towards their full-time employment wage progression <br />within that rate step. <br />During training periods, part-time Bus Operators and <br />Hostlers shall be paid the federal mandated minimum wage per <br />hour. <br />'; %', Extra Labor, includes summer and temporary help students, <br />other temporary employees and custodial helpers. The hourly <br />rate shall be in the range as given. <br />SECTION 2: That effective January 1, 1990 part-time hourly <br />employees shall receive a uniform allowance, as follows: <br />A. Bus Operator - The annual some of $150.00 paid <br />upon completion of the training programs. <br />B. Hostler - A maximum of three (3) sets of <br />laundered work clothing each week. <br />SECTION 3: That there is a seniority system, by <br />classification, for part-time hourly Bus Operators and Hostlers, <br />whereas seniority begins after completion of the prescribed <br />training programs. <br />SECTION 4: That this Ordinance specifically repeals any <br />other Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith. <br />SECTION 5: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further <br />reason that it is immediately necessary to provide for the <br />continuity of service of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, <br />and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />
