1 <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ~ (y <br />ORDINANCE N0. 89 - 86 ~ p'' ~ ~ ~ <br />BY: MR . BOEHMER <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED BY PROVIDING FOR THE INSTALLATION <br />OF THREE-WAY STOP SIGNS AT ROOT ROAD AND BYRON DRIVE, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council has determined that it is in the best interest <br />of the public health, safety and welfare of the city to install three-way <br />traffic control devices (stop signs) at the intersection of Byron Drive <br />and Root Road; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance <br />of a traffic control file which must be amended by ordinance, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and they are hereby <br />authorized an directed to amend the traffic control file of the City of <br />North Olmsted to indicate therein a three-way stop at the intersection <br />of Root Road and Byron Drive. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized and <br />directed to cause the stop signs to be placed at the intersections of <br />Root Road and Byron Drive in the manner specified herein. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately <br />necessary to correct an intolerable situation relative to proper traffic <br />control and further, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST <br />FLORENCE E.
