77-111, who currently receive full hospitalization benefits shall have <br />added thereto dental and vision coverage. <br />SECTION 2: That the benefits specified in Section 1 hereof for all <br />individuals included on the attached schedule, shall be provided to all <br />non-bargaining unit employees provided, however, that if the costs of <br />providing said hospitalization, as specified in Section 1 hereof, exceeds <br />the costs for the base year of 1989 by fifteen percent (15%}, the employee <br />receiving said benefits shall be responsible for the payment of said amount <br />by having the same deducted from their pay by the Director of Finance. <br />Likewise, for every year thereafter, if the costs of hospitalization <br />exceeds the prior years cost for said coverage by fifteen percent (15~) <br />that cast will be assumed by the employee in a manner specified herein. <br />SECTION 3: That this ordinance hereby amends any ordinance ar any <br />section of ordinance inconsistent herewith. <br />SECTION 4: That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby directed <br />to refund to any non-bargaining unit employee any and all amounts <br />contributed by said employee for hospitalization coverage as a result of <br />the enactment of Ordinance No. 88-141 on February b, 1989. <br />SECTION 5: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare and for the further reason that it is immediately <br />necessary to implement this change in health care coverage so as to fairly <br />treat all employees with the City, and further provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of ail members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br />PASSED:/~ f~ 9 <br />ATTEST: <br />~. <br />FLORENCE CAMPBELL, <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL <br />;~ f <br />APPROVED : ~ -' `' ~ ~ `^~' <br />L.- ~ ~ `° <br />~; , <br />.. .y <br />MA OR YVONNE PETRIGAC <br />.---~ ~' <br />~. ~_ <br />~,:.. \ ~ <br />JANET SARINGER, ~-_--= <br />PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />First Reading: ~6 / ~ <br />Second Reading: <br />Third Reading: __ <br />Committee: ~ e <br />
