.~ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 89 - 83 <br />BY: MAYOR M. YVONNE PETRIGAC <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN <br />AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE <br />WESTSHORE COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS TO ESTABLISH THE <br />WESTSHORE SOLID WASTE COMMITTEE AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY . <br />WHEREAS, Council is of the opinion that it would be beneficial to <br />the citizens of the City of North Olmsted that the City join in the <br />establishment of the Westshore Solid Waste Management Committee; and <br />WHEREAS, the Westshore Solid Waste Management Committee will <br />include the Mayors or their Representatives of the municipalities of Rocky <br />River, Bay Village, Fairview Park, Lakewood, North Olmsted and Westlake, <br />Ohio and two citizens appointed by the Mayor of each member municipality. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized to <br />execute an Amendment to the Agreement of the Westshore Council of <br />Governments to establish the Westshore Solid Waste Management Committee, a <br />copy of which is attached hereto, incorporated herein and marked Exhibit <br />nAn~ <br />SECTION 2. That. this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure, necessary for the immediate preservation of public <br />peace, health and safety, and for the further reason that this ordinance is <br />needed for the establishment of the Westshore Solid Waste Management <br />Committee, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />(2/3) of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor; otherwise it <br />shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period <br />allowed by law. <br />PASSED: ~ ~, /9~~ <br />ATTEST: <br />Florence E.
