CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 89 - 78 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED BY PROVIDING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A NO PARKING SIGN ON THE CUL DE SAC PORTION OF AMBOUR DRIVE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BY: COUNCILMAN THOMAS O'GRADY WHEREAS, Council has been advised that there is a problem in the cul de sac area of Ambour Drive due to the parking of automobiles resulting in difficulty for operators of school busses to negotiate a proper turn, and WHEREAS, this Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the public health, safety and welfare of the City to prohibit the parking of vehicles in the cul de sac area of Ambour Drive, and WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of a traffic control file which must be amended by ordinance. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: Section 1: That the Police Department be and they are hereby authorized and directed to amend the traffic control file of the City of North Olmsted to indicate therein no parking on the cul de sac portion of Ambour Drive in the City of North Olmsted. Section 2: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized and directed to cause the no parking on the cul de sac on Ambour Drive sign to be placed in the manner specified herein. Section 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to correct an intolerable situation relative to school bus traffic, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
