In the event that a sufficient number of employees <br />are not available within the classifications for the overtime <br />assignment, qualified employees from a different classification <br />and/or department shall be offered the overtime work and the <br />overtime opportunity shall be distributed as equitably as <br />possible. The City shall maintain lists by classification <br />showing the overtime hours of each employee. All overtime hours <br />shall be recorded on a daily basis. The overtime lists shall be <br />posted at each work location (Service Garage, Plant and Systems) <br />and shall be kept current on a daily basis. The Service <br />Mechanics and helpers will be subject to rotating overtime. <br />These overtime lists are continuous and shall not start over at <br />the first of the year. Seasonal and part-time employees will not <br />work overtime until all regular employees have been offered <br />overtime. <br />Section 3: During snow season, employees will be canvassed <br />daily to determine their availability during the ensuing non- <br />shift/overtime hours for snow removal or ice control duty. <br />However, employees who refused overtime but ultimately would not <br />have been called off the list will not be credited with overtime <br />hours worked. The overtime seniority list will be followed and <br />those employees not interested in being called will not be <br />contacted on a subsequent call out unless emergency conditions <br />develop. <br />18 <br />
