CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 8~ - 69 <br />BY: RONALD WILAMOSKY <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 721.01(c) 721.06, AND 721.10 <br />OF THE BUSINESS REGULATION CODE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to amend Sections 721.01(c), 721.06, and <br />721.10 of the Business Regulation Code, addressing the subject of <br />"peddlers, solicitors, canvassers and transient vendors," in order to limit <br />the structures included within the definition of "temporary place of <br />business" and further to limit the distance between such temporary places <br />of business and primary structures located upon lots; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 721.01(c) of Chapter 721 of the Business <br />Regulation Code, entitled "peddlers, solicitors, canvassers and transient <br />vendors," which now reads: <br />"(c) "Temporary place of business" means any public or quasi- <br />public place including, but not limited to, any hotel, rooming <br />house, storeroom, building, part of a building, tent, vacant <br />lot, railroad car or motor vehicle that is temporarily occupied <br />for the purpose of making retail sales of goods to the public. <br />A place of business is not temporary if the same person <br />conducted business at the place continuously for more than six <br />months or occupied the premises as his permanent residence for <br />more than six months," <br />be amended, and, as amended, shall now read: <br />"(c) "Temporary place of business" shall mean any public or <br />quasi-public place including, but not limited to, any hotel, <br />rooming house, store room, building, part of a building, that is <br />temporarily being occupied for the purpose of making retail <br />sales of goods to the public. A place of business is not <br />temporary if the same persons or firm conducted business at the <br />place continuously for more than six (6) months or occupied the <br />premises as their permanent residence for more than six (6) <br />months ~ rr <br />
