i <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 89-37 <br />BY: RONALD J. WILAMOSKY <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CHAPTER 903, SIDEWALKS, SECTION <br />903.01 ENTITLED "PERMIT REQUIRED; .FEES", AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of North Olmsted has been advised that <br />the costs of issuing a Sidewalk Permit and inspecting the work for which <br />the permit was issued have increased; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to establish Sidewalk Permit <br />charges commensurate with the cost of issuance and inspection. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That it is necessary to amend Section 903.01, and it is <br />hereby revised to read as follows: <br />903.01 PERMIT REQUIRED; FEES <br />No person, except in cases of undedicated subdivision or <br />in streets where special assessments are to be made, <br />shall install or construct sidewalks in or an any public <br />street or highway or other public property without first <br />obtaining a permit to do so from the Service Director. <br />The Service Director shall demand and receive a fee of <br />Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) before the issuance of any such <br />permit. This amount is necessary to defray the costs of <br />administration and inspection to insure conformance of <br />the work to City specifications. <br />No portion of the fee shall be refundable. <br />SECTION 2: That Ordinance No. 66-66 passed April 6, 1966, and any <br />other ordinances or part of ordinances inconsistent with this ordinance are <br />hereby repealed with the effective date of this ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to <br />forward a copy of this ordinance to the Finance Department and the <br />Engineering Department. <br />SECTION 4: That this ordinance is hereby determined to be an emergency <br />
