CITY OF 1VORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 89-36 PAGE FIVE SECTION b: The Recreation Director shall, from time to time, review the f'ee schedule as set forth herein and recommend any changes which shall be deemed necessary along with reasons therefore to the Parks and Recreation Commission of the City of North Olmsted. Upon approval of said changes, the Parks and recreation Commission shall recommend said changes to the Council of the~,City of North Olmsted for approval. The Recreation Director shall, however, have the discretion to adjust the fee schedule, but not less than 50% of the regular rate for special events and promotional purposes on a limited basis that are sponsored by the Recreation Department. The Recreation Director shall also establish spectator admission charges, set prices on merchandise and other services offered for sale. The Recreation Director may pay to a sponsoring organization not more than 50~ of the spectator admission charges derived from their event. The Director may charge the North Olmsted Varsity Hockey Team the current ice rate from Varsity gate receipts and 5Uq of the remaining balance. In the event the gate receipts are less than the current ice rate, the Varsity Hockey Team will be billed for the full current rate. SECTION g: Fees for other programs currently operated by the Recreation Department shall be: Tee-Ball Clinic Tee-Ball & Softball Leagues Summer Youth Tennis Lessons Handicap Program Women's Recreation Football (5th & 6th) League Basketball (5th & 6th( League Central Playground Private Park Facility Permit (with maintenance) $10.00 $15.00 $12.00-$30.00/Session $12.00 $15.00-$30.00/Session $35.00 $15.00 $20.00 $ 5.00 $10.00 Any non-resident wishing to participate in any of the above programs shall be charged an additional $10.00 per activity. SECTION 10: New Programs, rates and rees, as they are initiated by the Recreation Director shall be established with approval of the Recreation Commission. SECTION 11: All fees within this Urdinance shall become effective May 1, 1989. SECTION 12: That Ordinance 86-2g, adopted by the Council of the City of North Olmsted be and the same is hereby repealed, and any other Ordinances or Resolutions or parts of Ordinances or Resolutions in conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 13: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to adjust various fees in light of present operating expenses, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
