*• BY: COUNCILWOMAN BAHAS <br />NAME OF STREET Crocker-Stearns <br />ROUTE N0, CR-48 <br />ORDINANCE N0. 89 - 14 <br />UoL• ~S <br />~. ,,3 <br />DATE a 9 <br />An emergency ordinance enacted by the City of North Olmsted, Cuyahoga <br />County, Ohio, in the matter of the hereinafter described improvement and <br />requests the cooperation of the County of Cuyahoga, State of Ohio. <br />WHEREAS, the MUNICIPALITY has recognized the need for and proposes the <br />improvement of a portion of public highway which is described as follows: <br />(1) the construction of Crocker-Stearns (CR-118) extension, with <br />turning lanes where needed, from Lorain Road to the North Olmsted <br />North Corporation Line; and (2) the grade, drain, pave, and widen <br />to four lanes of Stearns Road (CR-76) from I-480 ±o Lorain Road. <br />WHEREAS, this road improvement is part of a larger project which is the <br />(1) construction of Crocker-Stearns (CR-118) extension, with turning lanes <br />where needed, from Lorain Road to Center Ridge Road; and (2) the grade, drain, <br />pave, and widen to four lanes of Stearns Road (CR-76) from I-480 to Lorain <br />Road in the Cities of Westlake and North Olmsted <br />WHEREAS, the MUNICIPALITY previously adopted Ordinance No. 88-80 on July <br />6, 1988, which provided for a Consent Agreement with the COUNTY and the Ohio <br />Department of Transportation for the extension of Crocker Road; and <br />WHEREAS, since the passage of said Ordinance, the funding ratios have <br />materially changed, thereby necessitating the adoption of a new and revised <br />Consent Ordinance. <br />NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio; <br />A. CONSENT <br />1. That it is declared to be in the public interest that the consent of <br />said MUNICIPALITY be and such consent is hereby given to the COUNTY <br />to construct the above described improvement in accordance with <br />plans, specifications and estimates approved by the COUNTY. <br />B. COOPERATT~N <br />1. That the MUNICIPALITY will cooperate with the COUNTY in the (1) <br />construction of Crocker-Stearns (CR-118) extension, with turning <br />lanes where needed, from Lorain Road to the North Olmsted <br />Corporation Line; and (2) the grade, drain, pave, and widen to four <br />lanes of Stearns Road (CR-76) from I-480 to Lorain Road. <br />2. That the COUNTY will arrange for the preparation of construction <br />and right-of-way plans and specifications including necessary <br />engineering reports for the improvement under current Cuyahoga <br />County Engineer standards for construction of County roads and <br />bridges. <br />-1- <br />
