CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION N0. 89-9 BY: Mayor Petrigac A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION AND REPLACEMENT OF CULVERT N0. 6 LOCATED ON McRENZIE ROAD IN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has inspected culvert No. 6 on McKenzie Road and deems it appropriate for the safety and health of persons using McKenzie Road to replace the aforesaid culvert, and WHEREAS, this Council, having been advised of the recommendation of the City Engineer is desirous of having the Director of Public Service Advertise for bids in accordance with specifications now in his office for the purpose of replacing said culvert. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the repair and replacement of culvert No. 6 located on McKenzie Road in the City of North Olmsted, all of which shall be in accordance with specifications now on file in his office, and that upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. Section 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to take corrective actions in order to insure the health, safety and welfare of the individuals using McKenzie Road and further, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
