CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 89-4 <br />BY: MAYOR M. YVONNE PETRIGAC <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING A COLLECTIVE <br />BARGAINING AGREEMENT WITH THE WESTERN CUYAHOGA LODGE N0. <br />25 OF THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE AND DIRECTING THE <br />MAYOR TO ENTER INTO SAID AGREEMENT AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Administration has bargained with the Western Cuyahoga <br />Lodge No. 25 of the Fraternal Order of Police in an effort to reach an <br />amicable settlement between said Union and the City; and <br />WHEREAS, said agreement has been finalized and put in writing, a copy <br />of which agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked <br />Exhibit A; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council hereby approves the wage and benefit package <br />established therein and desires to have the same formalized. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into a collective bargaining agreement with the Western Cuyahoga <br />Lodge Na. 25 of the Fraternal Order of Police a copy of which is attached <br />hereto and made a part hereof and marked Exhibit A. <br />SECTION 2: That any ordinance, parts of ordinances or other agreements <br />inconsistent herewith are hereby specifically repealed. <br />SECTION 3: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety, and welfare and for the further reason that it is immediately <br />necessary to provide for the continuity of services within the City and <br />further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
