New employees shall be considered to be on probation for <br />a period of ninety (90) calendar days. During the probationary <br />period, discharge or suspension by the City shall not be subject <br />to the grievance procedure. <br />19. If an employee is discharged or quits during the probation- <br />ary period described in Paragraph 18 and is later rehired, he <br />shall be considered as a new employee and subject to the <br />provisions of Paragraph 18. <br />SENIORITY <br />.? <br />+?r 20. Only regular full-time employees of the City shall have <br />seniority. Students, summer employees and part-time employees <br />? shall have no seniority rights. Part-time employees are those <br />? employees who are regularly scheduled to work twenty (20) hours <br />r <br />or less per week. A regular full-time employee is one who is <br />? <br />,?rt scheduled for forty (40) hours of work per week. <br />,?. 21. Seniority shall mean an employee's uninterrupted length of <br />? continuous service with the City measured from his last hiring <br />40 date as a full-time employee.
