No employee shall be eligible for promotion, or lateral <br />or downward transfer, under these provisions until he has <br />satisfactorily completed the reQuired probationary period. <br />TEMPORARY TR.ANSFERS <br />52. When an employee is temporarily transferred for one (1) <br />hour or more to another classification, he shall receive the <br />higher of his regular rate or the next higher rate of the job <br />,?• <br />to which he is transferred for the entire period of time of the <br />transfer. A temporary transfer shall not exceed thirty (30) <br />a' working days except: <br />o"" (a) to fill a vacancy caused by an employee <br />ar being on sick leave or other approved <br /> leave of absence; <br />., <br />as (b) to provide vacation relief scheduling; <br /> (c) to fill an opening temporarily pending <br /> permanent filling of such opening; <br />,?. <br /> (d) to meet an emergency situation; <br />? <br />+rr (e) to meet changes in the work load; and <br />90 (f) to accommodate the presence of summer <br /> employees. <br />trA n n mr^wrn <br />53.
