The City shall continue to make reasonable <br />provisions for the safety and health of its employees. <br />r. <br />A.' Required personal protective ec{uipment shall <br />be issued to regular full-time employees and <br />rr shall be replaced if the equipment is worn <br />out and is returned to the City for replace- <br />*?- ment . <br />An employee who does not return the eQuipment will be charged for <br />.. <br />the replacement cost, except in cases, <br />? <br /> (1) In which the equipment was destroyed by <br /> accidental conditions beyond the employee's <br /> control in the work area, or <br />..• (2) If the equipment has been stolen and the <br />? City has failed to supply the employee with a <br /> place to lock up his equipment. <br />.?. <br />B. A safety committee consisting of the Service <br />+w Director and his designee and two (2) safety <br /> representatives appointed by the Local Union <br /> shall confer at regular monthly intervals, <br /> if necessary, for the purpose of attempting <br /> to maintain safe working conditions for <br />A- employees in the Bargaining Unit. Additional <br /> meetings may be held if required by unusual <br /> circumstances. The Safety Committee shall <br /> <br />? have the authority to deal with safety procedures, <br /> safety and sanitation problems, and shall <br />+w decide upon the protective equipment to be <br /> used under Paragraph A. <br />DISABLED EMPLOYEE <br />65.
